It’s a hectic week for the Namefi team, but luckily, we have got some new achievements, inspirations, and plans seeded down for the next following weeks.
In fact, a lot of progress has been made at the backend of the Namefi team by Sami and Victor. Every execution of theirs is incrementally contributing to the ever more refined user experience for Namefiers.
On the customer side, I have airdropped to all 150 winners who participated in Namefi's mission with Metaverse HQ. Hopefully, next week when I am working on the Namefi {Karma} and hiring a Namefi operation intern, I could spend more time with our community members and customers.
Namefi Feature Announcement
EIP-747 “Wallet_watchAsset”
In terms of product features, Victor has announced that Namefi proudly supports EIP-747 "wallet_watchAsset" to add tokens to wallet apps that support EIP-747, such as @MetaMask, authored by @danfinlay, @estebanmino_, and Pandapip1. $NFSC will be supporting this option to allow users to add trusted tokens to their wallet.
Here is a feature tutorial recorded by Sami to show how to add Namefi Assets to your wallets that support EIP-747: https://www.loom.com/share/da2a2375b1294631af4c9811aef7cfa3?sid=16653727-8e57-4bba-be3b-37f91a30a5b3
Multichain Dashboard to Display your Namefi NFTs
Now you can access your Namefi NFTs from both Base and Ethereum chains. Here is a guide by Sunny to show multichain display (she signed in her Base wallet as a start): https://www.loom.com/share/41d1cd12861c4a4e858f68e054daa4a8
Initial NFT Transfer from Namefi Dashboard
Now you do not have to go to OpenSea to initiate Namefi NFT transfer. Instead you can transfer your Namefi NFT to another wallet address within the Namefi App itself.
If you want to transfer your Namefi NFTs on the Base chain, you have to first switch your chain to Base when you sign in. If you want to transfer your Namefi NFTs on the Ethereum chain, you have to first switch your chain to Ethereum when you sign in. Transfer Namefi on the Ethereum chain can be expensive so make sure you have enough ethers before you initiate the transfer.
Sunny has recorded a video to show you how:

Bug Fixing Report
We also identified and fixed a few bugs from production, including:
- Service Credit display issue from early phase testers
- NFT Mint delay (Here, thank you Maks (@NFTs_ENS) for also reporting to us how minting in time is so important to you. )
Namefi Space Recap
In the past week, we have also hosted three successful Twitter spaces with Shell Protocol (@ShellProtocol), Sapien.io (@SapienGamified), and Namemaxi (@namemaxicom). The space with Namemaxi is especially interesting as it brought together 150 listeners and Kudos to Alex (@notheralexander) for that. Well done!!!
The space with Shell Protocol’s CEO pointed out two very important questions to solve in the Web3 domain market. (1) How can we establish a price discovery mechanism (‘floor price’) for domain names? And (2) Competitors in the space are also cobuilders, so how can we better coordinate to maximize our efforts in terms of innovation delivery? I have published the conversation here https://blog.namefi.io/p/price-discovery-for-domain-names for your perusal.
It was quite challenging to invite the CEO of Sapien.io to our space last Tuesday, so kudos to Sunny Ray (@sunnyraycom) for hosting the space and give us an inspiration into how ICANN accredited domain names can be used as a global reputation system for identifying decentralized laborers who contribute to machine learning data indexing process.
Victor also runs biweekly (sometimes tri-weekly) ERC developer meetings (@ERCRef) to talk about new Ethereum standards and their adoption challenges and methods. In this week’s meeting (https://app.fireflies.ai/view/AllERCDevs-UTC1700-EU-friendly::doZrUFMbVTsP52X2), what’s particularly interesting to Namefi users is the standard called ERC-6066. Jack Xu (@headcpx) introduced ERC-6066, which aims to enable NFTs to carry their own signatures, distinct from the owner's EOA. This standard is intended for applications where the NFT itself represents identity, such as ENS subdomains and domain signatures. Jack emphasized the usefulness of signing in an official capacity rather than as an individual. In the future of domain co-ownership through fractionalisation, allowing signatures by domains could improve the efficiency of domain management within a corporation or DAO and potentially unlock new user experiences and work flows too.
Editor Pick of 5 Weekly Domains
We have got an additional of 154 Namefi NFTs minted in the past few weeks. Here are top selections by our editor Sunny (she could have missed other good ones, but here are five for display due to the limited space!)
